Mint Floor Cleaner Review
I’m sure that you’ve seen the Mint floor cleaner reviews on plenty of other sites and blogs, including this one, but sometimes there’s just too much information to take in.
Sometimes you just want the bones of the matter, so with that in mind I think that it’s better if I just tell you all the benefits and weaknesses of the Mint floor cleaner first.
That way if you start nodding off before I get to the end of this review then you’ll still have all of the facts.
If you want to read a more in-depth review then there just head over to Mint automatic floor cleaner review.
Mint Floor Cleaner Review – Benefits and Weaknesses
To be honest there aren’t really any other electric floor cleaning robots in the same category as the Mint automatic floor cleaner at the moment.
It is not really competing with any of the robotic vacuum cleaners like the iRobot Roomba or Neato XV-11 as it is basically only capable of cleaning hard surface floors, such as tiles, hardwood, parket, concrete, terrazzo and vinyl flooring.
Evolution Robotics have cornered a floor cleaning niche with the Mint electric floor cleaner. So if you want a near silent remote floor cleaner that is based on the common Swiffer pads that you can pick up in any store then the Mint automatic floor cleaner may be for you.
So without further ado here are the main features:
The Benefits:
The Mint hard floor cleaner has won over customers from all over the country. These are some of the reasons why.
- No more Backache from bending down to clean under furniture
- More Free time. More time to enjoy yourself
- The Pads are very easy to change and readily available from most stores.
- Whisper quiet operation. It can work while you sleep.
- Can sweep and scrub (wet and dry options)
- Washable re-usable cleaning cloths included in package.
- No more sweeping up Cat and Dog Hair
- Low profile allows it to get under most furniture.
- Intelligent software and sophisticated guidance system allows it to finish your room quickly and efficiently.
- Sweet Smelling Floors all the time
- Come home to a Clean Floor after a Hard Day at the Office
- No more breaking a sweat with the housework
- Well built robust and elegant design.
The Weaknesses:
Needless to say that nothing is perfect and there are still a few issues that could be improved upon.
- The sensors on the Mint floor cleaner are still not perfect. It can get confused with low lying areas of carpet and end up getting stuck. Unfortunately this can be said of any robotic floor cleaner on the market today.
- You will have to plug it in to charge it up yourself as there is no self docking.
- The Wet Mopping Mode is not as effective at scrubbing the floor as a human as it lacks the weight to push down very hard.
- Leaving inquisitive pets in the same room as it could cause an increase in the time it takes to clean a room as it sees them as movable obstructions and has to spend more time trying to avoid them.
- You will need to move the Navigation base unit between rooms otherwise the Mint automatic floor cleaner may loose it’s tracking.
A Final Comment
Overall I would say that the benefits of the Mint cleaner outweigh its bad points.
If you are in the market for a robotic floor cleaner then you also have to be practical and understand their limitations. They may not have the power of an upright vacuum or the scrubbing power of a mop but neither will these items clean your room automatically for you whilst you read a newspaper.
Read some of the hundreds of customer reviews over at Amazon then you’ll soon see why the Mint robotic floor cleaner is rated with 4-5 stars.
